The recent Fire Fighting Course was conducted by the CAA approved Fire Fighting Instructor, Chris. There were 3 Pilots and 3 Instructors who took part in the day long course. We all were on a steep learning curve and qualified at the end of the day to safely operate the fire fighting equipment.

It was clear that a lot of practice is required, as in flying, to remain current in the correct response and actios in case of an emergency.

The response time and the correct response actions were to be decided after doing a "Dynamic Risk Assessment". In other words, when the alarm bells ring, locate the problem, identify the nature and respond with the correct equipment, personnel and actions.
